iMac will not turn on and it has face with a question mark

This means that either:

  1. The operating system is missing from the iMac's hard drive. You will need to restore your system from the grey discs that came with your Mac.
  2. The hard disk is damaged. In this case you will need a new hard drive. Once you or a specialist has installed it you can then restore your system using the grey discs.
