I just purchased a TV show season pass through my Apple TV. However now when I go back to my home screen the TV Show menu item has fully disappeared from the top line - and from the device all together. Any ideas? I've restored and restarted and nothing.

There are reports of TV Shows and/or Movies missing from users screens, initially it looked like this might be an issue in the UK only, but it may well be more widespread. It appears to be an issue that can't be fixed by the user, you will need to wait until this is resolved by Apple.
If you have other icons missing you may have an entirely different issue.
