trying to recover deleted note (in Notes app)

I lost an important note from my iPhone Notes app yesterday and I've been unsuccessful in determining how to recover it. I'd certainly appreciate any assistance anyone may be able to offer.

I never actually deleted the note, but rather it was lost (I believe) during a glitch when I opened up the Notes app on my Mac and it attempts to sync the notes. It's happened before, only in the past, the glitch has resulted in multiple copies of the same note, and not the complete removal there of. This particular note was rather large and that may have been a factor.

Some additional info:

My device is an iPhone 4S, 64 GB Verison, running iOS 6.0.1

I use iCloud to sync notes between my Mac Mini (mid 2011), iPhone 4S (64 GB, Verizon) and iPad 2 (64 GB WiFi). I attempted to retrieve the note from my iPad by turning off WiFi momentarily and accessing the Notes app. The note was already gone, so that didn't work.

I tried software called "Dr. Fone", but that didn't work because it is not able to recover data from an encrypted backup (and I encrypt my iPhone backups). If there is a way to un-encrypt a backup, that might be helpful, but I do not know of one.

The last backup I have of my iPhone 4S was on 12/25/2012, a day before the note was lost. I did a full restore from this backup. After it was all done, the note was not present. I'm guessing that is because iCloud has already deemed the note to be "deleted" and so if it was restored, it was immediately deleted again to keep everything in sync.

There are dozens of threads dedicated to people trying to recover deleted notes, but I have not yet found one that has a solution that works. The two solutions I tried (also mentioned on other threads) did not work.

Needless to say, the information in this note is very important to me and the last backup I have of it was from several months ago when I emailed it to myself. I wish I had done so more often. Lesson learned - the Notes app is NOT for large, important information keeping.

Lessons aside, I'd really like to be able to retrieve that note. I still have that backup from 11/25/2012 and it just kills me that the data for my deleted note is just sitting in there, not accessible because it's encrypted.
