how do i get back the original

Hello, i used to use quicktime screen recorder to record gameplay but it would be laggy in the video, so i got rid of it and started using ishowuHD demo, but when i upload it to youtube through imovie, it looses qualtiy. so i was wondering if there was a way to get back the normal quicktime screen recorder and not quicktime player 7 or something like that.
