Why dont I hear any sound coming out of my Ipod nano even if the earphones are plugged and if i try the radio, the message is no radio signal, plug the earphones to listen to the radio

we are having the same issue here. it will play fine for a while then the audio just stops even tho the display still reads playing. my daughter lets the iPod turn off then wakes it up and it is fine. this has happened a few times already. any idea on how to resolve this..?

If these tips found here do not fix the issue make a reservation at your local Genius Bar and they will be able to trouble shoot hardware related issues.
Make sure headset is plugged in all the way in headset jack. This issue usually happens when headset is not fully inserted.
