Dec 27, 2012 3:45 PM in response to djanderzby OGELTHORPE,I would take it to an Apple store and have the technicians diagnose it and get a definitive answer.
Ciao.

Dec 29, 2012 4:51 AM in response to djanderzby ayaoye,Hey! I have exactly the same problem!
I downloaded gfxCardStatus (http://gfx.io) .... and worked with the integrated video card ONLY.
The problem is the AMD 6750M video card.
I think it's a problem with the Os Mountain Lion.

I believe it is not Mountain Lion issue.
I had the problem with Snow Leopard and it continued to ML

Feb 14, 2013 1:44 PM in response to djanderzby EdMurrieta,I have the same exactly the same problem on a Macbook Pro 17" i7 early 2011. It began about a month ago and the Apple Authorized Service Provider after a week told me that it was the logic board and a new one would cost me $25,000.00 mexican pesos (around $1,925.00 USD).
All I can say that is that this is NOT a few machines here and there, this is a wide spread and numerous problem that should be addressed by Apple.
I'am really mad!. I bought my first Mac in 1988, a Macintosh SE an believe it or not it still works!!!. Over 25 years I have had more than 20 Mac of all kinds. Before the Mabook Pro 17" unibody I had a Power Mac G5 (Tower) that lasted 8 years… EIGTH YEARS of constant and highly productive use.
I'am so disappointed that I'am seriously considering "Switching" to Windows.
And to hear the rumours that Apple is working on an "iWathch" is really pathetic.

Feb 14, 2013 1:59 PM in response to ayaoyeby EdMurrieta,Its definitely NOT a Mountain lion issue. I have extensively replicated the problem on Snow Leopard, lion and Mountain Lion.
Its definitely the AMD Radeon HD 6750m. ONLY when the "discrete graphics" is in use these problem happens.

Apr 3, 2013 10:49 AM in response to djanderzby SilvesterZ,Exactly the same problem, MacBook pro 15" Early 2011 - It does not even boot!

Apr 23, 2013 10:42 AM in response to SilvesterZby ssbarnea,Any solution? I started having the same problem with 10.8.3 -- computer is outside the 1y warranty, I am in Europe but the computer was bought from USA so I guess I cannot rely on EU laws.
Note: about 1 year ago they replaced the logic board...
Are the Early 2011 models with AMD Radeon HD 6750M doomed?

Apr 26, 2013 11:33 AM in response to djanderzby clovist,I have the exactly same problem.
Macbook PRO 15 Early 2011.
It happen exactaly like the screenshot.
And on the next days other different graphics glitches happen.
Now i'm using only the integrated.
I have bootcamp Win7 and when i thy to boot it, it starts the windows, but after a minute the machine restarts automaticaly.
I have tried to set the fan at maximum and the machine holded up better, but each day the 'limit' gpu temp is getting lower and lower.
Nowadays i don't even try to test it anymore because i fear it won't boot anymore.
But i see at youtube that a lot of people had this problema with the Radeon 6750M from the early 2011 macbook pros.
Does anyone know if Apple has recognized that as a model failure and extend our warranty.
What happened to your macbooks nowadays?

Jun 1, 2013 8:26 AM in response to clovistby BiggAW,Everyone needs to go to the Feedback form on Apple's site and report these, so that Apples knows how many of them there are out there. These need to be recalled, but Apple is so far refusing to do so.

Jun 6, 2013 2:53 AM in response to djanderzby fililanci,Same problem here. Italy. Macbook pro march 2011. Mine it's out of warrenty and I am ****** off. This is a problem related to the radeon card. it's plenty of theads of people writing about this. It looks it's a "bad manufacturing" problem of the card. Apple MUST take care of this. I would open an email address to collect all of our complains and send it to apple the whole thing.
Let me know who is willing to do so
