If it's not supported then apple should make it so...
There's no point in giving you our country of origin...
What makes you think we don't know what we're doing?
We are here searching for solutions...
Means, we've tried everything, solutioms suggested by apple, contacting them, etc...
Someome did post a solution even though it's temporary...
There are fortunate ones who still have their phone under warranty anand have it replaced, not once but mutiple times for some...
Others have expired warranty and others bought their phone in other country...
You won't understand since you don't probably have the same issue as us...
So please, just stop, unless you could give us a better solution...
If that would be fine?
Yes, it is a valid reason. Because if an Apple user lost their personal data on an Apple device, they would likely blame Apple.
Apples should NOT make it so, because adding more problems is a stupid idea. A real solution does not create additional problems. This is common sense.
The point in stating the country in which the device was purchased is so we can make a recommendation that is suitable for your country.
The reason I don't think you know what you're doing is based upon your posts.
If all of the solutions that Apple has provided, and this forum have provided, are not suitable, then you need to seek help outside of this forum. The solutions in this thread are all the possible ones that any of us can post, here on this forum, with this forum's rules. Even some of the solutions 'bend' the rules of this forum a bit, but the Hosts still allow them.
There is no better solution, available on this forum. So seek guidance elsewhere.

TJBUSMC, you can't be serios about this. Catastrophic data loss ??? Apple do not need to care about user's data. If user not backup his data it is his fault. They are not responsible for user data at all. But they are responsible for a software which ruined our phones because it could not handle it. Understand this once for all. Apple force us to upgrade to newest version of ios because they saying there are security risks if we would not upgrade. Besides, there is that boring ios update icon shining on us all the time. So everyone do it sooner or later... And if anything screw up, they just say sorry, you did it on your risk... This is riddiculous, they should not be responsible for software bugs, but for hardware failure they should definitelly be. But we said this milion times....
And jailbreaking ? I could jailbreak anytime but what for? I had it several time but only because I was curious. I don't need it and 99% of ios users as well. I really have 1$ for buy an app if I need it. I don't like jailbreak because it could cause a security risk but there are some people who do jailbreak because of extending ios functionality which is not yet implemented in the system. Not everyone jailbreak because he wants to steal. There is nothing wrong about it. Moreover, every jailbreak make the ios more secure and this is only good for Apple. There are companies who paid lot of money to pople who find a system voulnerability and here Apple has it for free! This is the best thing that could happen to Apple. By reverse engineering they find the exploit and fix it in next ios version and they are good for next few months until a new vulnerability is found... And all this is for free. And if we want to be on safe side, we have to upgrade. But never the software update should cause a hardware malfunction. And if so, someone should take a responsibility for it. This has nothing to do with warranty.
And just for you JTBUSMC, even if you jailbreak your phone, there is neither official or unofficial way to downgrade the iOS for devices with A5+ processor. If you don't know anything about this, please hold your comments. And if you're so sure, PM me this "non-Apple approved procedure" to downgrade. I'm really curios about this. And if you don't, for me you are just liar... sorry.
@jamted, you are 100% right but you can't explain it to a guy who never had this issue and who says that iOS7 can be downgraded in unoffical way...
LOL!!!
Okay, I'm not talking about a situation where a user does not back up their data. I'm talking about a situation where a user DOES back up their data properly, but then after a downgrade of the iOS (either manually, or because the replacement device has an older iOS installed), the backup will not restore. If you have an iPhone running iOS 7, create an iCloud backup, and then try to restore that backup to an iOS 6 device, it will not work. That's why some people that get a device replaced by Apple have to update their iOS on the replacement device before restoring the backup.
Apple did not force you to upgrade your iOS. Explain exactly HOW they forced you to do so. They may have RECOMMENDED updating, but they did not force you to do so.
And they ARE responsible for hardware failure which is why I've said, over and over and over again, to address this with Apple as a HARDWARE problem, not a software problem. It's like you're not even reading my posts.
Once again, here's the script to use:
"If the wi-fi chip was defective from the very beginning, and only the process of an iOS update would create enough stress to reveal this defect, then there was no way for me to report this defect during the normal warranty period. No other operations on the iPhone created enough stress to reveal this defect, which was present all along. Therefore, because the device was defective from day of purchase, but there was no way for me to test for that defect, it was impossible for me to report it prior to it being revealed. The fact that it only revealed after the warranty expired should not infringe upon the validity of my claim."
I agree that jailbreaking is not a good idea. Glad we agree on that.
You're halfway right on something else. There is no 'official' way to downgrade an iOS... regardless of the processor. And I'm impressed that you know the difference between an A4 & A5 processor. The fact that you make that distinction shows you can at least look up information online.
Have you heard of Google? Or Bing? It's amazing how easy these search engines are to find information from all over the world. Just a random tangent, of course, having nothing to do with our current discussion.
Um... exactly how am I supposed to PM you? There is not a 'private message' function on this website, and sharing personal information is not allowed either, so... Hm. Is it any wonder that I have concerns about your technical knowledge, if you're not even aware that there is not a PM function on this website?
Now, does it matter if it's an A4 or A5+ processor? Sort of. But, that's as far I'm willing to push the rules here. For anything further, just use Google or Bing.
