Calibrating 30" HD Cinema Displays

I am calibrating my two 30" Apple HD Cinema displays.

Is the USB port on the back of the monitor considered powered?

Is it called a LCD display?

I need to calibrate the colors with the Spyder Elite. Any advice?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.5)
