Q: Migration Assistant

My computer indicates that the migration is complete (from PC to Mac) however none of the files are showing up in iPhoto or iTunes. Is there a way to search for them?

Don't know anything about iTunes.

In iPhoto go to File / Import to Library, then navigate to the source folder. You will end up with a Last Import folder in iPhoto.

Thanks for your help - unfortunately it didn't work for me I will keep trying other methods!

The files are in a new user account that probably has the same name as the Windows account from which you migrated. Log in as that user and move the files to the Public folder. Then log out and log in as yourself. Copy the files from the new user's Public folder to wherever you want them. Delete the new account.
