Is there any way to still download it without buying an external disk drive? more

Dec 27, 2012 8:13 PM in response to jannsime1by Kappy,Yes, if you have access to another computer with an optical drive. You can connect the two computers via your home network and use File Sharing to transfer the installer to your HDD. You can also use:
DVD or CD sharing- Using Remote Disc
Remote Disc, Migration, or Remote Install Mac OS X and wireless 802.11n networks

Dec 27, 2012 8:21 PM in response to jannsime1by Barney-15E,You might check to see if Microsoft has a download. There's one for 2011, but I'm not sure about the older version. With the 2011 version, you can activate it with a valid code, so you might be able to do the same.
