Hi , I am trying to update iPhoto on new mac air. i get a message saying i cannot because I used another account. I had originally purchased a version for my macbook pro which burned out...what can i do. the Macbookair is new and it comes installed with iphoto. and i movie except it won<t update from app store.can you help

Open up your Mac App Store. Do you see the icon that says Purchases?
Do you see your iLife apps in there? Is there anything that asks to Accept? What is the status.
i see it as well as imovie it doesn<t say anything other than update, when i click on it it says
"You have updates available for other accounts" and To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it.

Did you end up doing any kind of migration from your old system to the new? If not, then we may want to check with iTS to grant you redemption codes to fix this. Otherwise, we can try 100 & 1 more steps to resolve this, but still risk ending up with the same problem.
