failure to mount error 95

I recently downloaded a shareware game from macgamer three times and each time it tells me 'failure to mount error 95'. Does anyone know what this means and what I need to do to install this game?
Thanks

The camino mounted just fine. I followed the directions and ejected the disk image. So maybe you're right about it just being that one .dmg. I downloaded some disk utility software last night and suddenly the disk copy comes bouncing up out of the dock.
I used to feel that I knew all about my computer but lately so many things have changed it's hard to keep up. My last computer was the pismo powerbook but last year I upgraded. Now I have 4 color printers and 2 laster printers that aren't much use. I've been told if I upgrade the motherboard on the laser printer I can still use it. So now I upgraded just about everything, bought new printers and scanners but I haven't upgraded my OS software above 10.2.8. Would that help some of these problems? I have so much software that I have to outright buy again. Using things in classic is sooo...slow.

I really appreciate all your help, you've been a life saver.
Thank you

Hi Denise,

The camino mounted just fine. I followed the directions and ejected the disk image. So maybe you're right about it just being that one .dmg... Just one more thing. I noticed and extra tag line after the error code. It said 'no mountable file systems'.

I would begin to suspect that one .dmg, yes. Does MJS2 refer to 'Mahjong Solitaire 2'? If so, have you tried downloading the same game from a different source? Googling 'MJS2.dmg' should bring up a handful of sites.

So now I upgraded just about everything, bought new printers and scanners but I haven't upgraded my OS software above 10.2.8. Would that help some of these problems?

That's a question that isn't easily answered, I'm afraid. Don't get me wrong, OS X 10.2.8 is a perfectly usable operating system, but by and large, Apple has stopped development on it for quite some time now. What you really have to do is consider the features the more up-to-date operating systems have to offer and decide if it's worth the investment. I find that it can also become a case where you need a newer version of a particular software, but the OS doesn't support it.

That said, with the shift to OS X, what can run on 10.2.8 usually has no trouble running on 10.3.x or 10.4.x. So if that's anything to go by, the software you buy today should continue working for you for a few years. I don't know if that answers your question. I'm rambling a bit.
