OS X 10.7.5 clients usually crash [i.e. black screen] when ejecting Xserve's shared points on sidebar.

I discover my MBP or iMacs (running 10.7.5) will often crash if I eject Xserve's share points from sidebar. If client computers eject all Xserve share points one by one, it will not cause the black screen crash.

The Xserve is late 2006 with 10.6.8 OS X Server.

It crashes even more often after clients computers finsihed using Preivew to view PDF files stored in the Xserve. I think/guess it has something to do with the automatic backup of documents running in daemon, a new feature in TextEditor and Preview introduced in OS X 10.7.x clients but not in 10.6.8 OS X server.

Mac OS X Lion 10.7.x crasehs more often than than 10.6.x, where I had only 1~2 crashes a year. But ever since I begin using Lion clients, I have crashes 3~5 times a month.

Is this why Apple phasing out Lion so quickly? This problem has been going on since 10.7.0 to 10.7.5. Am I alone in this issue?
