Why can't I play my AVI file?
Friend of mine sent me a video through Dropbox, and it was in AVI file. I tried to watched but my Quicktime Media was not letting me. How can I fix this problem?

QuickTime isn't compatible with AVI. Instead, install VLC > http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Or a free Mac App Store App called 'MPlayer X' is also good at playing any sort of files!
avi is not really a file format, but rather a container for a wide range of video created with any of a large number of Codecs. So, not all avi are the same. You can add codecs to QuickTime if you install Perian
