I keep getting No Service when trying to connect my unlocked phone to a new carrier. I know the SIM card works so it is an iPhone or AT&T issue. Can anyone help me with this please?

How did you unlock your phone? If it was originally locked to ATT only ATT can unlock it.
It was officially unlocked by AT&T with relevant code & authorization as well as being backed up & then restored, new sim put into phone, powered dow, rebooted & waited 18 hrs so far & still saying "No Service"
You must complete the unlock process with the ATT SIM in the phone. Follow the directions you received with the email saying that your unlock was approved.
At the end of the process you should have gotten an message saying that your phone was succesfully unlocked.
I did do this with the AT&T sim inside and then swapped it out when the it had been backed up
You did not read my previous post: Again, did you get the message that the phone was succesfully unlocked?
Apologies! I really can't remember to be honest but I may or may not have. If I didn't do I need to repeat the process all over again?
If you didn't do that, then you need to do it to complete the unlock.
You can not repeat what you didn't do to begin with.
I have repeated the unlock w the AT&T sim inside in an attempt to generate the "successful unlock of phone" message but to no avail - do I contact AT&T AS A LAST RESORT of do you have any other suggestions please?
I suggest you contact ATT.
