Dear all , i have just bought age of empires two on disc for mac and it will not let me play it , this is a pain in the backside as i spent good money on that and im wondering how i can make it so i can play it ? do i need to download a new software ?

Dear all , i have just bought age of empires two on disc for mac and it will not let me play it , this is a pain in the backside as i spent good money on that and im wondering how i can make it so i can play it ? do i need to download a new software ? or revert back to the old one ? i heard about apple getting rid of rosetta, frankly this has been a huge pain as i can no longer play games or use apps which used powerpc and rosetta.

Released in 1999, Ages of Empire II: The Age of Kings for Mac must have been written for Mac OS 9. Up through OS X Tiger for PPC, it could then run in the Classic Environment.


With the newer Intel Macs, you have to run a Classic emulator such as SheepShaver, which requires you to extract the Mac ROMs from your older Classic Mac and then install Mac OS 9.


A related program is Chubby Bunny, which comes bundled with all of that included.
