I have a new ipad and have set up and used my Apple ID. When I try to open an iCloud account, it keeps repeating "Account Not Verified". If I then follow the instructions they just lead me to an endless loop of changing my ID/Password. Any Christmas helpers out there?

Looking through all the other postings on this  topic, I eventually stumbled across an approach that resolved the problem. One would have thought that with so many other iPad users struggling with this anomaly, Apple software engineers would have concluded something should be done about it!!
