Q: where do I locate my transferred documents

I completed the Migration process from HP to Mac and can not locate my documents and pictures.  How do I find them?

MacBook Pro, iOS 6.0.2, I'm new to the MacBook Pro world

    Migration assistant will move an entire user to the Mac.

    If you created an account on the Mac, then used migration assistant, there will be a user account set up for the user you migrated. You would need to log into that account to see the files.

     

    You can use that account and keep the one you created as an admin account.

     

    The Mac file structure has everything that belongs to a user in the Home folder. There is a Documents, music, Pictures, etc.

    Those folders will be on the Sidebar on a Finder Window, or you can select Home from the Go menu in Finder.
