Really slow transfer speeds with external hard drive.

My 2TB western digital external hard drive seems to be running really slow (took 25 mins to move a 30 mb file).

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

A second HD works fine, have tried on two macs and have used two different USB cables.
