Firefox 17 icloud Connection Error

I am running Windows 7, Firefox 17.01 & IE 8. Able to login to Icloud using IE8. On same machine Firefox is unable to connect. After entering username and password, receiving popup message titled "Connection Error" iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server. Error always occurs with Firefox, but able to login with IE, on the same device. On Firefox, have cleared cache and verified that javascript is enabled.
