Using iPhone 5 while charging battery - does it harm the battery?

Hey Everyone,

I'm just wondering, if I used my iPhone 5 while it's charging, would it harm the battery? I've heard that doing so makes the overall battery slowly get a shorter battery life. What is the myth and what is the truth?
