just got my new iphone. tried to sych it to my old iphone back up. got all my photos. yay. Got no apps though. why?

What AnaMusic says, but first open iTunes and make sure it is set NOT to sync when your device is connected (in Preferences). Then connect your phone and go to the Apps tab. Check "Sync Apps". It's a good idea to always check your sync options before syncing.
