My iBooks store only shows the top free books, and these are mostly classics. I am looking to purchase books by authors such as Nora Robersts, David Baldacci. How do I activate or purchase other books that are not "free".

Whether paid-for ibooks show will depend upon what country that you are in, some currently only have free books (Apple can only sell in each country what they are granted licenses to sell) : what can be bought where. Do you have access to other ebook apps/stores e.g. Amazon/Kindle, Nook, Kobo ?
