I rented the movie with Ipad taking too long to download so want to download to desktop instead and I cant find it on my purchases where is the rented movie

I have an Ipad tried to rent a movie was taking forever to download over an hour and didnt even load a 1/3 of the movie so i stopped it tried to hook up to my itunes and download that way but my account doesnt show the movie says its already been download

You cannot. It is not like a purchase. You cannot redownload at all.

From the article you linked yourself:

If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer."
