Ram Up grade

I want to upgrade the Ram in my Mac pro early 2008 .... my question is I already have the standard 2x2GB can I just add another 2x 2GB to give me a total of 8gb of Ram

Yes you can do that. Check out OWC for the correct type of RAM to use in your model as well as the correct way to install additional RAM.

Mac Pro you need (or add) the large RAM heat sinks for extra cooling.

Those are just your standard PC and with small less efficient heat sinks.
