I am using OS10.6.8 Ican hear the phone ringing when I call out. When they call me no indication is shown on my computer.???

I am connected to the internet, have Apple ID, OS 19.6.8, ringing heard when I call and they can see that I am try to call they are trying to connect but no joy, When they try to call me, I have no indication.
