itunes not downloading on windows 8

I have allowed pop-ups on my Windows 8, went to Apple itunes download page and clocked download now, then "run". Downloading tool barr appears at the bottom of the page, but remains at 0% downloading and doesnt go any further. What is wrong? I have also tried downloading updates on Kodak software, but page looks as though it is downloading, but isnt. New to Windows 8!!
