Q: Apple Tv will not connect to the internet even though it sees my network

I have been trying to connect my Apple TV to no avail. It can recognize my wireless netwotk but says it cannot connect to the Internet, therefore I cannot watch any of my Itunes content. I am using a brand new Apple TV, new Imac and a Seimans Gigaset SE567 wireless router.
