late 2012 Mini came with 10.8.1 installed, no upgrade to 10.8.2?

This sounds perfectly silly to me. I just installed a late 2012 Mini and ran it through the software update process. It arrived with OS X 10.8.1 and it doesn't want to retrieve and install 10.8.2, which I have running on my older Mini.

What gives here?

Yes, it is a bit silly, but Did you try the special Mini 10.8.2?

@BDAqua: Again, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I read your note earlier this afternoon, downloaded, and installed the special update. I can report that my new Mini is now running 10.8.2.
