For christmas I got a brand new iHome ID9 and it works for my sisters ipod 4th generation, but then i plug in my iPhone 4 and it says "This Accessory is not supported by iPhone." What do I do??

But it charges it just doesn't play music.
I have the same problem.. Sometimes the iHome player works fine and sometimes I just keeping getting the "this accessory is not supported" message. Extremely frustrating. Sometimes putting the phone in and out of the iHome several times will get it to start working. Frankly I think the iHome is a piece of cr@p.
p.s. This is the sequence that usually works for me:
-- take the iPhone out of the iHome player
-- close the music app on the phone
-- put the phone back in the player
-- THEN start up the music app*
-- start playing a song. It may take a few seconds before you hear the music
If this doesn't work, try it again but this time, power down the iPhone and power it back up before putting it in the player. If that still doesn't work, unplug the iHome player and plug it back in. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Like I said, the iHome is a piece of cr@p.
*If you start the music app before plugging the phone into the player, it almost never works.
