Q: moving mobile me to icloud

I have been unable to use my mail account suddenly so i rechecked my settings and

I get confused whether or not I need to use icloud mail or mail....the icon with the postage

stamp???

 

What do I do?

    It's a really bad idea to post your email address - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove it.

     

    MobileMe has been closed for over five months now. You needed to migrate your MobileMe account to iCloud - if you did not do this before August 1 then the entire contents of the account have been deleted.

     

    You can reactivate the address (though not its previous contents) by signing in with it in System Preferences>iCloud and enabling Mail in the checklist there.

     

    If you did open an iCloud account but it's not working you can check whether you can receive email at http://icloud.com - if this is the case then you should sign out on your Mac and sign back in again and renable Mail and any other data types.
