Why does my Extreme blink amber when it is working properly?
Also, there is a red #1 next to my base station when I'm in Airport Utility. What does that mean?
A flashing amber status light does not always indicate a problem that would cause a loss of either network or Internet connectivity. However, it does indicate that some issue still exists and would require that you use the AirPort Utility to find out what that might be.
