How to connect with a USB Internet key

The Internet key is installed and comes up on the screen. It is not highlighted so you can not click on it. It says no device detected. I have the key for a PC and it works fine. The Mac Pro is new as of yesterday and I haven't learned how to use it yet.
Again, did you follow the key's installation instructions including installing the key's drivers. The drivers are typically obtained from the key provider's site or from an install disk. Make sure you install the Apple driver for your operating system. There are dozens of Internet USB keys out there so until you are specific, only general answers can be provided.
No I guess I did not. I plugged it in clicked install and that's it. I will look for key drivers etc. thank you.
