The iDevices are designed to sync with one computer. If another computer is used all of the material from the first computer will be lost.

Hi martin.

From what i understand the ipod/iphone/ipad can be "attached" to up to 5 computers either apple or windows. However this must be done with her own itunes account, if not Allen is right, previous info will be lost... the best way for you to overcome this is for your wife to log on to your pc with her pc account and then attach her ipod, then create her own itunes account. Basically if the pc is treating her as a different person then itunes should also. From that point on she should only ever log into her itunes on her pc account. I have successfully done this with a shared pc and mac.

Hi martin..... Happy New year btw!!

I Hope this message doesn't come too late and you haven't gone through the heartache of loosing anything on itunes?!!

you are nearly right yes.. But the key is to have your wife as a different user on your pc (that is before you even think about itunes or plugging in her ipod) then she can set up her itunes account totally separate from yours. Once she has done that, she can use up to four other pc's/mac's for her itunes account.

If you both use the same user account on the pc, then itunes will just get very confusing and start backing up your stuff onto her account etc..

i hope this helps .. Richard.
