Am getting with my device iphone3gs. Cant get facebook anymore, coz it's requesting us to update ios. Is there anyone who's facing same problem. Is there a solution to this? Coz the device is becoming useless. Pls advise

Connect your phone to the computer you use for itunes, click on check for update under the info tab, then update your ios.

Slow down, no, block it, Only if your phone is jailbroken!! Is yours?
The only way it would "block it" is if the phone was jailbroken or hacked to unlock it. As for slowing down, I've heard very few complaints about iOS 6 running on the 3Gs.
Yes it has been sent to hong kong for repair because it has been crashed while upgrading last time. But i think they changed the motherboard. Is there a way to upgrade anyway?
If it is jailbroken , then youll be lucky if you still can use the phone.
Hi Chris, need your help. i'm sure you can sort out this issue. i successfully upgrade my device to ios 5.1.0, after that it doesn't recognised my sim card. what should i do? i can't make any calls but still can connect to wifi.

You can NOT legitimately update to 5.x any more. You can ONLY update to the current version, which is 6.1.3.
If you actually installed, or attempted to install anything other than the current version of iOS, you have rendered your phone unsupportable.
The ONLY thing anyone here can suggest is to force the phone into DFU mode and attempt to restore the current version of iOS using iTunes.
