Video Transfer

I recently transferred a video which was filmed on my iphone to my PC. I am now trying to transfer it back but it tells me the file is unsupported. I am sure the problem is because video recorded on the iphone is .mov format which is not supported by iphone. How can I transfer home videos back to my iphone once they have been taken off?

When you look at the video files on the iphone before they are transferred to PC in windows explorer they are already in .mov format. So what this tells me is the iphone records videos in a format that is not supported by itself but for some reason when they are sitting on your phone in photos you can play them. However if you transfer them to your PC you are unable to transfer them back without third party software to convert them to mp4? This makes no sense whatsoever.

1. I have added the videos to my itunes library then tried dragging the file to my iphone in itunes. When I do that it tells me the movie cannot be transferred because the iphone will not play it.

2. I added the movies to the "my pictures" folder on my PC and checked "include videos" under the photos tab. When I synced I got a error saying the videos will not transfer because the format is not supported.

3. I tried selecting the videos from the movies tab and then syncing and get the same arror as #2 above.
