since acrobat will no longer let me open the pdf files from the internet how do i read the pdf files i want to view? i do not have any mac knowledge at all so if helping me please word everything simple for me to understand thank you 🙂

Safari should open PDF files for you.

Version 5 of the Adobe Reader is ancient. If you prefer to continue using Adobe's PDF viewer, get the latest free Reader, which is version 11.
