Q: I am appauled & astonished that my new iPhone 5 will not connect to my MacBook or bluetooth headset. Why should I not return it, and get another Droid if it will not connect to the devices I currenty own?

You can not connect it to a computer via bluetooth for anything other than tethering. That has never been a feature of the iPhone.

As for your headset, make sure the headset is in discoverable mode.
