Did you figure this out? I am having the same problem. On the apple support it says in iTunes under edit select preferences...I don't see that???
If I add an event on my iPhone, it doesn't show up in Calendar on my MacBookPro. I have checked every setting I can think of to no avail.
MacBookPro 15inch mid 2010; OS X Mountain Lion
I saw that, however in iTunes, under Edit, there is not a Preferences option?
Under iTunes, in Preferences I can select devices but there is no Reset Sync History option?
I must be doing something wrong - have spent way too much time on this!
The instructions for Mountain Lion from the article are
Thank you for your help!
Still won't sync new events entered on iPhone to Calendar on MacBookPro?
OK, why are all my events showing up twice on my mac?
Right now they are all checked. If I uncheck them the duplicates go away but so do some of the other events - shouldn't they be identical?
Sounds like you have been doing what I was until I cleaned my Calender up . That is putting some events in one calender and some by accident in another. Rationalise it into 1 calender and then you should have 1 calender on your devices.
Work out if one of the calenders has what you need in it. Then delete the other.
Once I do that, can I create an event on any device (mac, iPad, iPhone) and they will all be the same?
Yes that is how it will work
wow, a lot of effort to set up! Thank you so much!
When I am on my mac should I enter contacts/events on icloud.com or on my mac?
If you just enter them in calender they will be copied to the cloud and then onto your devices, and the other way round as well.
It seems like a lot of work and is but being a typical male I never bothered reading the instructions first cos' I thought it was intuitive...🙂
NO this does not work, says no such file or directory, I'm typing or pasting it in Terminal. CAN ANYONE please post a solution that works or are we just screwed until Apple actually does something about this problem????
