"show itunes in the cloud purchases" missing

Hi Renergade,

I have also recently acquired this issue, and here is how I resolved it: Sign out of iTunes by click the "Store" link in the menu bar and signing out completely. Restart iTunes and sign back in. The option should now appear within the "Store" section of the iTunes Preferences menu.

This has happened to me a few times, and I think it has something to do with using multiple Apple IDs on one computer for different things as I do. Either way, I plan on researching to see what causes it.

I had the exact same issue. I phoned support and got a great guy named Chris. We dont know what made mine go away, or come back, but I lucked out on this one. Chris is reporting the issue to his manager.

I hope it gets resolved because having my "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases" option is great. it is one of my favorite features of iTunes 11.

Indeed. It's a hassle. Luckily it's not a terribly difficult temporary fix. Signing out and signing back in hasn't failed me yet.

Hey guys, this is a known issue with iTunes 11.0.2 that will be addressed in a future update, hopefully 11.0.3. It randomly disappears and appears in iTunes Preferences, and sometimes may even uncheck itself. I have reported the issue to Apple, and others have as well.

Joey, are you sure this is only with 11.0.3? I could swear I've been having it since before then, but maybe that's due to all the numerous other issues I've had since 11 even hit the scene.

I believe it occurred with 11.0 and still persisted in 11.0.1 and 11.0.2, but I could be wrong. Hoping 11.0.3 fixes it.

I had been having that issue as well.

I figured out that if I, Log Out (Sign Out) of my iTunes account from the iTunes Store and then Log On (Sign In) back in. Then when you go to the iTunes>Preferences>Store, the check box for "Show iTunes for cloud purchases" reappears.

Always had the problem of the checkbox unchecking itself in iTunes 11.0.x.

The checkbox itself never disappeared for me until 11.0.5!

I submitted this as a bug via Apple's iTunes feedback page and I suggest all of you do the same.

I have iTunes 12.2, the latest version, and I have no option to disable showing in the cloud purchases. Will there be a fix to this or are there any tricks to only showing content that I have in my iTunes file folder on the computer?

Top menu, go to "View" select "All Movies" or " Only Movies Available Offline". iTunes 12.2.

Use this for the other groupings as well: Music, TV shows, etc ......

That doesn't work for me either. I've tried signing out, closing, back in. Deauthorized, re-authorized. Checked "Only TV available offline," then re-checked "All TV." Nothing. The only thing that works is to go to my purchases in the store, download an episode of something, then they all appear again. Then I have to delete the episode I downloaded. What a PITA, and I have to do it EVERY DAY!

That's odd. It works for my system.

If I select All Movies I see the shows that I have not downloaded and my items on my hard drive.

If I select "Only Movies Available Offline" then only the items that I have on my hard drives are listed on my iTunes

I tend to download my movies and shows as 720p and store them on my Mac because I still have the AppleTV (generation 1) in the Kitchen. The ATV1 will not play 1080p and I either have to store the show on the ATV1 hard drive or as I normally do I just stream show from my Mac to the the ATV1.

When I use the ATV3 in the family room I tend to stream the purchased items in 1080p from Apple, otherwise I use home share for the items I have ripped.
