I have a 1st gen Apple TV. Still works great. But I cant get audio through HDMI. I have top of the line HDMI cables and a brand new Sony STR-DN1030 with 5 HDMI inputs. Can anyone help me with this?
likely an issue with your setup I
have 1g appletv with sony reciever using optical
and with sony tv using hdmi
in both cases audio works perfectly though when I watch movies I mute the tv
so the audio only play out the reciever
the atv is
appletv 1g 160GB
tv is KDL-40WE5W
reciever is STR-DG520
Is audio supported through HDMI with first gen Apple TV?
