New MacBook Pro, Sims 3 game crashes. Help!

So I recently got a MacBook Pro and I installed all of my sims 3 games onto it. No problems installing but now it will randomly crash saying "Exception Raised" and spit out a bunch of code and stuff. I never had any of these problems on my early 2008 MacBook. Is it something with the newer laptop or the game? Can anyone help?
