New Router won't connect to MAC and Printer

My new MACBook Air connected wirelessly to my printer via a router. The router was just replaced by Comcast and now I can't print wirelessly.

I went thru BrothersMFC8760 reconfigurations on the printer, and it said it was successful in connecting with my NEW CODES (they had to be changed) wirelessly.

But, alas, the macbook air doesn't agree. It doesn't see the printer. Comcast says its Apple, Apple says Brothers, and me, I say I want wireless printing again.

My vote is to blame Comcast 😁

Having said that, I wonder if you've tried re-recognizing the printer on your MacBook Air. If you haven't already, go to System Preferences (under the Apple logo on the menu bar) > Print & Scan, click the minus sign in the lower left to remove the previous incarnation of the Brother printer, and then click the plus sign to hunt around for the new-looking Brother printer.

Yeah!! I got it. If you face this along the way, go to System Preferences, Internet, and then select Network, and remove old printer there and make sure your new passwords, etc. are in there.

The thing about this that really upsets me is that, once again, Apple Support tried to push me off to another company, in this case the printer company. They aren't as knowledgeable as I had been led to believe, or as I had hoped. sigh!
