How to Reset Ipod Touch using Assistive Touch?

Hello everyone,

I have spent the past hour searching this site, google, and a variety of other sites and haven't had any luck.

I have a Ipod Touch that has a home button that doesn't work. I haven't used this in a long time, and I stupidly set a passcode. However, I use the assistive touch button as the home button.

Is there a way to completely restore/reset my ipod using the assistive touch as the home button? I have tried holding down the regular home button and the assistive touch home button to reset, but it isn't working.

Is there another trick to it? Or am I just good and screwed?
