Problems installing HT5371 OS X Mountain Lion: Supported digital camera RAW formats

I've downloaded the above file, but when I try to install it I get a message saying that Aperture version 3.4 or later, or iPhoto version 9.4 or later, is required to install this update. I have iPhoto 11 9.4.2 installed, but not Aperature. Has anyone experienced a similar issue?
