Just put windows 8 on my mid 2011 Mac Mini and there is no sound 😢.
I know that bootcamp is not compatable with Windows 8, yet; but has anyone
found a way to get sound working? Appreciate any information.

you can check out which manufactor makes the audio chip in the mini and go to ther webpage looking for a win8 driver for that model
maybe you can also use a win7 driver the driver model was not really changed in win8
most my windows 7 drivers are still being used in my imac running win8
I just got the new Mac Mini 2012 yesterday. The HDMI Audio isn't working in Windows 8 yet, but the SPDIF diigtal out works fine for now. "Optical audio input is SPDIF format and uses a standard TOSLINK cable with a TOSLINK mini-plug adapter, accepting up to 24-bit stereo and 44.1-96kHz sampling rate." I'm happy enough for now but I'm sure they will update Bootcamp for Windows 8 at some point soon.
I installed Windows 8 and had the same problem. (No Audio device installed). Today i again installed my Win7 Copy and then upgraded the copy to win8 and the everything is working perfect.
