Apple in US charges $219 for replacement. They do not repair this damage.

thats simply ridiculuous. ipad mini has defective glass for it to crack. it happend to me after just 1 month of use. not sure if there are any protective sheets that really prevent such damage

a - there was no carelessness. does not matter what glass. its what apple uses dude. ipad mini screen is downright defective or the product just not shock resistant. you try dropping it from 1 inch on desk and see. never had issues with ipad 1 or 2 - ipad mini looks cheap and its defective - period
