create membership database, how to?

i am creating an app for my dads elementary school, i want it to require users to create accounts, how can i go about creating the database in my app to save the information that the users input?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6

You would need a server and associated software to support it. Then your app could use those services.

Rolling your own database solution is not going to be easy, possible but not easy.

So depending on what the app is designed do do you might what to think about looking into a web based solution. Using a content management system (CMS) like Drupal, all the bits to setup users accounts etc. are already there.
