Q: Trying to transfer files PC to Mac - when I press continue on PC Migration Assistant it states an error has occurred & quit button appears. I have disabled anti virus software & run chkdsk. Other methods also failed transferring data from iTunes etc

New & frustrated Mac user - trying to transfer files PC to Mac must be easier than this?  After unsuccessfully trying other suggested Help methods of transfering files from old  PC to new MacBook Pro  (eg iTunes files) tried Migration Assistant - when I press continue on PC, Migration Assistant shows message - error has occured in preparing data for transfer & quit buttion appears. I had already disabled anti virus software & run chkdsk.
