Can I delete these files, Omnioutliner.xml?

Hi Folks,

I am trying to do a little house cleaning on my new iMac 27, with data transfered over from my 2010 iMac27.

I'm finding a bunch of files (see screeshot) named "stringtable.xml" whcih when viewed with show info, appear to be files opened

with Omnioutliner. I have no idea what Omnioutliner is unless part of an install I once had on my computer.

Can I safely delete all of them?User uploaded file

Well I'm not totally sure. Due to an error mesage I got when starting up my new iMac27 telling me I needed to install Java 6SE runtime for CS 4 Service Manager to work, i did that and am now trying to find it and get rid of it. In tha process of doing that I did a search in the finder under user, this mac and CS4. In that window that opened are numerous files, some .jpg, some .psd, and about 20 icons for stringtable.xml.

On my iMac27 2010, which is now migrated to my new iMac27 2012, I had long ago unistalled CS4 upgrading to CS5 and CS6 which I now use. I also at one time had installed MS Office 2010, which I also uninstalled about a year ago.

If more info is needed let me know.

Ok, the path is MacHD/Applications/Utilities/Adobe Applications Manager/DWA/ZstringResources/nb_NO/stringtable.xml

I guess the best answer I can as to why do I want to delete them is just house cleaning of unwanted, no longer needed files.

Which leads me to ask, do you know of any app, designed to safely do that kind of deleting of old left over files?

Jim,

XML files tend to be pretty small and nothing to be concerned about. If freeing up HD space is your main concern then I'd recommend moving the larger data files to an external HD for archiving. However to if you want look into a safe app for removing files I'd recommend OmniDiskSweeper.
